Day in Hangzhou: Exploring Xianghu Lake Circuit

Riding an electric bike around the Xianghu Lake circuit, the scenic greenery along the lakeshore was quite nice. However, today was a cloudy day in Hangzhou, and I felt that (Hangzhou) climate is not as versatile as I imagined. I always thought that sunny days would make the climate seem more open, yet the cloudy weather made me feel more exposed and at ease.

Along the greenway, I ridden an electric vehicle, admiring the lush greenery near and far, while the distant bird calls seemed to echo in my head. Heatwave conditions persisted along the lakeshore, and even with the shades of greenery, it was difficult to enjoy the cool breeze. Standing on the lush greenery felt almost pointless.

After crossing the Nanjing Bridge Museum, I stopped at a temporary exhibition showcasing (j w show) featuring artifacts from Zhou Wang’s collection. Although these artifacts could tell the story of Zhou Wang’s life, they seemed to fit into modern-day living without any (unnatural feeling). The eight thousand-year-old remains of bamboo boats were displayed in an underground archaeological site directly below the museum entrance. After viewing them, I couldn’t help but feel amazed at the antiquity of these artifacts, wondering if a group of people from that era would have known how to make such simple things as bamboo boats.

This seems like a copy of the nearby Jiang Zhi (Jiang Zhi_room)s " " exhibit.

After exiting the air conditioning tunnel at the museum, I found myself in a different climate and weather conditions. The heatwave continued, but the breeze was still strong enough to make me shiver. I wandered into a random area near the museum, where strange noises were coming from all around. When I asked for directions, I was told it wasn’t worth my time to inquire further.

Continuing along Yangting Road, I thought perhaps not taking the bike ride today would be less stressful. However, my body began to feel fatigued, and with each passing moment, my tiredness seemed to increase. The combination of heat and humidity made me realize that I definitely needed air conditioning at this point.

After climbing to the (pines forest foot), I decided it was time for a change of pace. The path winding through the mountains above appeared endless, and with my limited physical strength, I knew I couldnt continue hiking all day. Upon reaching an elevation where the air felt too thin to breathe, I realized that continuing further would be futile.

The road sign at the entrance to the Yue (Yue Wang_tower) informed me that the surrounding hills were much steeper than this one, but with my worn-out shoes and lack of water or food, I knew that summitting would be a difficult proposition. My body struggled to keep up with the incline, and the combination of heat, fatigue, and dehydration made the journey even more grueling.

Upon reaching the top, I discovered Yue (Yue Wang_tower) (legend), which I later realized was a reference to the ancient policy of " " (yu j). To my surprise, the path didn’t offer any rest areas along the way. Instead, there were only signs and no benches or shade, making it even more challenging.

The air felt crisp at the top after I finally managed to catch a breath, and the surrounding landscape seemed more serene than ever. However, I couldnt help but notice that the ground was covered in small creaturesI accidentally stepped on one of them before it scuttled away. With no time to waste, I began my descent down the east hill.

As I descended the east hill, I noticed that the slope didn’t ease up at allthere was no reprieve from the relentless climb earlier. Once I reached the base, I realized how much effort I had put in just to get here. Walking through the surrounding area and trying to find a place where I could sit seemed like an impossible task.

After taking a break under some trees, I returned to the main path and found myself surrounded by strange soundsnoises that didn’t belong anywhere near this part of the park. After walking a short distance, I realized that the ground was alive with bugs. Despite my desire to head back to the hotel, I couldn’t shake off the feeling that Id made an irresponsible decision.

The cool breeze had mostly dissipated by the time I reached the top of the hill, and I found myself in a completely different environment than what I’d expected when I started out. The surrounding landscape was as impressive as ever, but I couldn’t help but think about how much time Id wasted trying to climb up just for air.

As I made my way back down the hill, I noticed that the ground was covered in strange-looking headssomething that didnt belong here either. My heart sank when I realized what they werethey must have been left behind by some careless tourists.

After a short break at a bench on the lakeshore, I continued my journey to the center of Yue (Yue Wang_tower). The air was still quite hot, and the combination of heat and dehydration had made me feel even more sluggish. My destination appeared further away than ever before.

However, before I could make my way back through Yue (Yue Wang_tower), I noticed that the ground was covered in strange-looking headsone of which looked particularly familiar.

As I made my way into the water, I couldnt help but wonder if there were any other hidden dangers lurking in the surrounding areas. The combination of dehydration and heat had left me feeling more vulnerable than ever before.
