First Live Venue Experience
It was my first time going to a live venue, and I felt a bit anxious. My friend mentioned that it’s the team that should feel nervous, not me. The crowd was huge; we had to wait in line for a long time, moving like a snail. When we got to the front of the queue to buy tickets, I noticed there were still people behind us. People who often go to live venues told me that this situation isn’t normalit’s usually twice or three times the usual capacity. The sound system didn’t work well either. Standing in the last few rows for the entire duration, I saw very little on stage. Most of the time, even though I looked through the camera at the front, I couldn’t see what was happening on stage. Occasionally, when the singer’s performance reached a certain point, like “Hikari ni Todoke,” I felt so powerful and energetic that if I could have seen more of it, I would have stayed longer.
Although my first live experience was listening to my favorite band in such an uncomfortable venue, I still managed to hear some songs I wanted. My first song was " ," which also ended as the last one. It felt like a proper start and end. When the stage lights came on during " ?? ä ʤ," the voice quality was higher than in the recorded version, and it moved me deeply.
Other songs were beautiful too, but I couldn’t see them well enough to enjoy fully. Sometimes, the sound system made it harder for me to listen live rather than watch a recorded version. Live performances have an undeniable charm that cannot be replicated by recordingselements like audience interaction, extreme audio experiences, reimagined musical arrangements, and the emotional immersion on stage. However, this live felt somewhat less pure compared to anime-style live performances.
With so many people around, I didn’t want to waste time getting a taxi after walking through the venue but ended up at (Bu Benson) near my hotel since I wasn’t very hungry. My friend recommended trying some grilled sea bass with miso beer. After sitting for hours during the live performance and feeling (lower back pain, leg fatigue), I took a cold ice (ginger beer) and had a big bowl of steamed rice with grilled sea bass. I felt like this was my moment in lifenothing beats eating grilled sea bass while drinking icebeer. Although the live had its pros and cons, these were all minor issues that didn’t require much thought. I made sure to remember this experience.
